No tourist trip to Kaikoura is complete without a ride out whale watching, which is exactly what Clarke Gayford takes on with Whale Watch Kaikoura. Then Clarke visits Glencree Station, a hunting block that has an abundance of deer and game before heading out foraging with New Zealand’s best forager Peter Langlands, a man who can recognise over 4000 edible plants, many of them close to our coast. Together they collect a range to take to the chef at the Old Kaikoura winery along with fresh Blue Moki that Clarke finally manages to get with his speargun.
