Fish Of The Day host Clarke Gayford is heading to the north of New Zealand and the Bay of Islands.
It’s an area made famous by American Western Writer Zane Grey in the 1920s and 30s.
Today Clarke is on the hunt for the iconic New Zealand Snapper, one of the best eating fish there is, but he’s not just going to catch it on rod and reel, he is also teaming up with Paihia to spear a few too.
Before he does though, he’s stopping in Deep Water Cove to dive on the wreck of the HMNZS Canterbury – a New Zealand Naval Frigate sunk in 2007 to create an artificial reef.
