Clarke travels to Fiji, but before heading out to sea ventures inland on a jet boat up the Sigatoka river to visit a remote village. Here the villages take turn hosting visitors, sharing ancient customs with them, in return part of each fee goes towards village projects like electricity, buildings and new kitchen appliances.
After this Clarke boards a 44ft Sailing Catamaran, ‘Big Blue’ with hosts Joe and Laura. They sail up towards the Yasawa islands, stopping along the way to dive and fish along reef drop-offs. Here they catch everything from Giant Trevally to Spanish Mackerel on rod and spear.
Stopping off at a nearby island Clarke heads out to a local dive attraction, a giant Pacific Bull shark feeding station. Here Clarke encounters huge sharks being hand fed by brave locals.
With the target fish – Coral Trout on board the crew sail to nearby Malamala Island where Clarke meets chef Lance Seeto who shows Clarke an ancient recipe made from sea water.
